The problems of the Dubossary district were voiced in the course of the meeting with the President

04.04.2023

Meeting of deputies and social activists with the President was held in the Dubossary District City Council. They talked about the foreign and domestic policy of the state, about plans to solve many problems in the city and villages. The deputies of the Supreme Council from Dubossary district and Dubossary Oleg Bayev and Boris German took part in the conversation.

The first question was about road lighting. Local deputies asked the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic to pay attention to the development of a state program to replace incandescent lamps with energy-saving ones. As Vadim Krasnoselsky noted, the program is being considered. There are 2 factories in Pridnestrovie that will be able to produce them: these are Elektromash and Elektrokontakt. The potential of the Pridnestrovian industry should be fully used, the President considers.

“Replacing lamps with energy-saving ones is a very correct question, because, firstly, old-type mercury lamps are uneconomical. Their disposal takes a certain amount of money, and they are poisonous if they break. It enters the environment and causes serious harm to health. Secondly it is expected that budgetary funds will be saved in the Dubossary district after the installation of energy-saving lamps. F lamps take about 40% more electricity than economical ones,” commented Boris German, Deputy of the Supreme Council for the constituency number 11 “Central”, director of the hydroelectric power station of Dubossary.

The parliamentarian said that the city has already partially replaced mercury lamps with modern ones. Boris German cited his constituency number 11 as an example. As part of the execution of voters' orders, 50 energy-saving lamps were purchased at the Elektromash plant in 2021. They were installed in Lenin Street – the longest in Dubossary – to illuminate mainly crossroads and pedestrian crossings. There is a positive effect from their installation, Boris German noted.

The possibility of installing a sports ground near the Moldovan school number 3 was discussed in the course of the meeting in Dubossary. The President emphasized that sports facilities are being created throughout Pridnestrovie for the recreation of residents. Local authorities will prepare a visualization of the project for the improvement of the territory near school number 3. It was said in the course of the meeting that the work must begin with the construction of a sports ground at the expense of the Capital Investment Fund. This object can be included in the program next year.

“I have known this school and the headmaster Dzengan Vasily Vasilyevich for a long time. This is a person who is deep into his school, he made an ethnopark with a swimming pool, a very beautiful place, but he wants to continue this work: to install a sports ground and ennoble it around. It will be a center not only for the children of school number 3, but also for the entire district, where they will come to play sports and relax at the same time. This idea was approved by the President. I think that next year there is an instruction, this facility will be included in the capital investment program,” said Boris German.

Speaking about the Capital Investment Fund, they discussed the possibility of including more facilities in this year's program, in particular those that were excluded in previous years due to many economic factors. The conclusion between Pridnestrovie and Moldova of an energy contract will allow further implementation of development plans, according to the President.

“I was very glad to hear from the President that those facilities that were excluded for reasons from the Capital Investment Fund plan for 2021 and 2022 will be included this year. These are houses of culture in the villages of Garmatskoye, Doibany, Krasny Vinogradar – Soviet facilities that eventually fail. We need to support it. These are objects where the villagers meet, cultural work is carried out. This year is the Year of Rural Development. Of course, it is important that these important objects get into the Capital Investment Fund and we save them,” said the Supreme Council Deputy for the constituency No. 10 “Northern” Oleg Bayev.

The constituency number 10 includes more than 20 settlements. Basically, a sore point in the villages is the condition of the roads. They talked at the meeting about their repair. For example, a road that passes through several villages from the Tiraspol-Kamenka highway to the village of Dubovo has long been in need of major repairs. The problem will be further worked out in order to find a source of financing for the repair work.

Local deputies and social activists touched upon the topic of healthcare in the course of the meeting. There is a shortage of pediatricians, obstetrician-gynecologists and other medical specialists in Dubossary. They talked about the schedule of street lighting. The deputies asked whether it is possible to give the heads of state administrations the right to develop a lighting schedule suitable for people, but within the established limits.

“People keep livestock. There is a transport that collects milk from people. Every day at half past five in the morning, the villagers take buckets to the place of collection and back, they are forced to go home along the dark streets. Each settlement has its own days of temple holidays, and other holidays are celebrated. I would like the lighting to be sometimes at night, but we can’t do this,” said the Dubossary District City Council Deputy Irina Chaban.

According to Vadim Krasnoselsky, the heads of towns and regions should deal with the issue of lighting, depending on the needs. The issue is planned to be discussed next Monday in the course of traditional video conference of the President with the heads of state administrations, with representatives of the legislative and executive branches of power.

“We had a very interesting business conversation today. People received answers from the President to a lot of questions that arose on the ground. The meeting is held with deputies in cities and districts. This suggests that there is feedback, it helps to verify all the moments and directions of activity of all structures, the authorities of the republic and local authorities, in order to follow the right path and solve these problems,” said the Supreme Council Deputy Oleg Bayev.

Meetings of deputies with the President have already been held in Tiraspol, Bendery, Slobodzeya, and Grigoriopol. It is planned that it will be held in the near future in Rybnitsa and Kamenka.
