The size of pensions should increase by 5%, and maternity and childhood benefits – by 10% from February 1 on behalf of the President. Changes must be made to the laws on the republican budget for 2023, on the Unified State Social Insurance Fund and “On State Benefits for Citizens with Children”. The relevant legislations that will be submitted to the parliament in the near future will be considered by the deputies in the course of the plenary session tomorrow, January 18. At first, operational work will be carried out by specialized committees – on economic and social policy. This decision was made by the members of the Presidium at their meeting, so that the mechanism for paying increased pensions would be ready after the signing of the laws by February 1.
In addition, the 1st emergency meeting of the 5th session of the 7th convocation will be held in the Supreme Council tomorrow. The deputies will consider the draft resolution "On approval of the Decree of the President of the PMR dated January 13, 2023 No. 11 "On the extension of the state of emergency in the territory of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic". The PMR President due to the failure to normalize the economic situation caused by the reduction in natural gas supply proposes to extend the state of emergency in economy until March 1 this year inclusive. It is currently valid until January 30th.
The agenda of the first plenary session in the spring session was supplemented by legislations prepared by the Committee on Economic Policy. One of them concerns the establishment of a unified procedure for the execution of contracts, if capital construction, reconstruction, major and current repairs are carried out at the expense of budgets of various levels and extra-budgetary funds. Deputies will consider changes to the 2023 budget tomorrow in two readings.
The state program for the execution of voters' orders for 2023 will be approved. Deputies from 33 districts of the Supreme Council are submitting a work plan for the execution of orders for their implementation this year. The 2023 budget fixed the amount for each district – 350 thousand rubles.
Tomorrow's agenda of the plenary meeting includes issues that were considered yesterday at the meetings of the committees by the deputies of the Committee on Agro-Industrial Complex and the Committee on Regional Policy. The decision on all legislations will be made by the deputies by voting.
The next plenary meeting is scheduled for February 1.
