Members of the Presidium of the Parliament of V convocation discussed the agenda of the first plenary session. It will open the first session of the Supreme Council of the sixth convocation. In accordance with Art. 67 of the Constitution the date - December 23 - defined by the decree of the President.

The President of PMR will open tomorrow's plenary session. After that, his competence will be given to the oldest deputy until the election of the Chairman of the Supreme Council. Deputies of the new convocation, as required by the rules of the legislature, after hearing the report of the Chairman of the CEC on the results of elections in a single election day November 29, 2015. Then the Supreme Council decides on the recognition of the powers of the elected deputies.

Deputies at the first plenary meeting have to elect the speaker, deputy speakers of parliament. The newly elected deputies would need to define, in which parliamentary committee they would like to work.

The second issue on the agenda of the meeting of the presidium was listed granting consent of the Supreme Council on the appointment of the Prime Minister of PMR. The President submitted to deputies the candidacy of Pavel Prokudin. The official representative of the President in the legislature Irina Barbarosh briefed the members of the Presidium with his biography.  

The date of the second plenary session of the Supreme Council of the sixth convocation was pre-defined. The Presidium recommended to hold it on Monday, 28 December at 11:00.

Speaking on the prospects of legislative activity, the Deputy of the fifth convocation Pyotr Pasat noted the importance of prompt consideration of the substantive financial document of the year, republican budget - 2016. The legislature received the document yesterday evening, while in accordance with applicable law (the law "On budget system of PMR"), It must have been received by the Supreme Council in the period until 10 September. Despite such a late submission of the "economic constitution", the work on it will be held in strict compliance with existing legal norms. As expected, the draft national budget for next year will pass the procedure of the first, second and third reading. This will give elected representatives the opportunity to get acquainted with the document, present for consideration of the working bodies of the Parliament various proposals on the content of the draft budget.
