The President Vadim Krasnoselsky signed a number of laws previously adopted by the deputies.

The legal base was supplemented by a law amending the law “On the provision of benefits for temporary disability, maternity, and citizens subject to state social insurance”. They are aimed at increasing the period during which insured citizens are paid temporary disability benefits in case of caring for a cancer patient under the age of 18 years. Legislation prevailing before that did not take into account cases of severe illnesses of children with malignant neoplasms requiring long-term treatment of the child on an outpatient basis, as well as joint stay of the parent and child in a medical institution while providing the patient with medical care in stationary conditions. The increase in paid days of incapacity for work for insured citizens will require additional material costs. They are provided for in the draft budget of the Unified State Social Insurance Fund for 2020. The norms of the signed law will enter into force on January 1 of the next year.

Among the legislative acts signed by the President is the law on introducing amendments and additions to the law “On the employment of the population”. It makes provision for creation in the republic of a common electronic database called “Bank of vacancies and resumes of job seekers in the PMR”. It will contain information on job opportunities, employers who are in need of workers, availability of vacant places and vacant positions, citizens seeking work. In order to facilitate the employment of citizens seeking work and increase the mobility of labor resources, the vacancy bank will be integrated with other information systems as part of interagency cooperation between government bodies. Currently, more than three thousand unemployed are registered at employment centers throughout the republic. There are approximately 3800 vacancies. The new law will come into force on January 1 of next year.

Amendments and additions in accordance with the law signed by the President were introduced into the Land Code. They are aimed at eliminating excessive control over transactions on the transfer of land for rent. Prior to the entry into force of the law, the lawfulness of the agreements concluded by the entities was checked twice: with notarization and state registration. Now, to exclude duplication of the stages of state control, notarization is excluded.
