The gift for the Tiraspol organization of the blind and visually impaired

The Republican public organization "Society of the Blind of Pridnestrovie" celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. Visually impaired residents of Tiraspol are supported by the Tiraspol public organization of the blind and visually impaired. This organization not only provides assistance, but also provides opportunities for the rehabilitation and socialization of people with visual impairments, supporting them in their daily lives. The organization has become an important support center, providing assistance to people with visual impairments over the years. Ilona Tyuryaeva, Deputy of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic for constituency No. 28 "Central", came to congratulate the employees and members of the organization in Tiraspol. Visually impaired residents of Tiraspol live, undergo rehabilitation and work in this district.

The Tiraspol public organization of the blind and visually impaired has been carrying out an important humanitarian mission, covering various areas of assistance for many years. It provides social and material support, organizes medical and psychological rehabilitation, holds cultural and educational events with the participation of the visually impaired and blind and for them.

Ilona Tyuryaeva presented the Tiraspol organization with a gift that is extremely important for its work – a computer. This is an important tool that opens up new opportunities for communication and work for the blind and visually impaired. The deputy expressed confidence that the computer will help the employees and members of the organization to continue to carry out an important humanitarian mission – to help those who especially need support.

Ilona Tyuryaeva supports the work of the Tiraspol Organization of the Blind and Visually Impaired on a permanent basis. The organization is located in the territory of the electoral district No. 28 "Central", and the deputy maintains close cooperation with it. Ilona Tyuryaeva financed the repair of the facade of the hostel building for the visually impaired, where the office of the public organization is located, from the funds of the Voters' Instructions Fund in 2023. Work is underway to improve the accessibility of the city for people with visual impairments, events are being held aimed at raising public awareness of the blind and supporting the visually impaired in the electoral district No. 28 "Central". On the initiative of the deputy, tiles were laid on the sidewalks, ensuring comfortable and safe movement for the visually impaired in places of compact residence of people with visual impairments. The White Cane Month was held last year, which included an excursion to the Kitskany Novo-Nyametsky Monastery, volunteers handed out leaflets to passers-by on the central street of Tiraspol, telling them what help they could provide to a stranger with vision problems. Schoolchildren visited the "Rassvet" enterprise where visually impaired people work, and a lecture for students "Take care of your eyesight" was held in the capital's school Number 3. At the initiative of parliamentarian Ilona Tyuryaeva A culinary competition was held. Six totally blind housewives took part in it.

Thanks to the joint efforts of deputies, activists and members of the organization, people with visual impairments can live a full and active life. Ilona Tyuryaeva as a deputy and a person who is not indifferent to the problems of her constituents continues to support initiatives that help improve the quality of life of visually impaired and blind citizens.
