The Presidium of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic included in the agenda of the plenary meeting on May 15 a number of legislations prepared for consideration by the Committee on Social Policy and the Committee on Agroindustrial Complex Issues. It is proposed among others to adopt in the first reading amendments to the laws “On burial and funeral affairs”, “On state benefits for citizens with children” and to the Labor Code of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. Deputies of the Parliamentary Committee on Legislation, Protection of the Rights and Freedoms of Citizens Galina Antyufeyeva, Grigory Dyachenko and Oleg Petrik proposed to supplement the Labor Code and expand the list of employees who will be able to receive a preferential right to remain at work in the event of a reduction in the number or staff of employees, and to include in it persons pre-retirement age. Such changes are necessary, according to the authors, because able-bodied workers of pre-retirement age have little chance of subsequent employment in practice if they lose their jobs.
The amendments to the laws “On some additional state measures aimed at minimizing the negative impact of external economic factors”, “On hunting and the conservation of hunting resources” are among the legislations prepared for consideration by the parliamentary corps, as well as the approval of a state target program for replacing lamps with from mercury-containing street lighting lamps to LED lamps until 2028. The relevant parliamentary committee in addition to clarifying and editorial amendments prepared an addendum prescribing financial support for the implementation of the program for the second reading of the state program. The amendment states that the source of financing for the purchase of LED lamps is funds from the republican budget. The work to replace the lamps (dismantling and recycling of old lamps and installation of new ones) will be financed by the contractor on whose balance sheet the street lighting networks are located, that is the "ERES" State Unitary Enterprise.
The next plenary meeting after May 15 was scheduled previously for May 22 by decision of the Presidium.
