The President instructed the heads of the highest executive and legislative authority to work out a strategy for the development of the republic for the next eight years in the course of the Government meeting with the participation of the Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Shcherba and his deputy Galina Antyufeeva, on June 7. The timeframe is short, and immediately after that the Prime Minister issued a decree on the formation of a working group on the drafting of this program document.
During today's meeting of the presidium it was discussed how many people and whom exactly to include in its composition from the Supreme Council. In connection with the presidential mandate, the deputies talked about such a document as Strategy-2025. It was developed in 2011 by the leading specialists of the Russian Foundation for Strategic Research. Strategy-2025 in the form of law-in-draft was even adopted by the Supreme Council in the first reading. There was not further development because of political opposition of branches of the power here in the previous five years of presidency of Evgeny Shevchuk.
Chairman of the Committee of the Supreme Council on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance Alexander Korshunov supposes that the basis for the developed program for the development of Pridnestrovie should be such components as economic policy, social and regional, the work of the housing and communal services sector. Therefore, the members of the working group set up by the government from the legislature could be delegated to the heads of committees corresponding to these directions.
Some members of the presidium of the parliament suggested that the Supreme Council should join the consideration of the draft strategy for the development of Pridnestrovie for the period from 2019 to 2026, even when it is formed. Participants in the discussion drew attention to this factor in working on a strategic document, such as access to statistical and analytical information.
As a result, the members of the presidium of the parliament voted to include Alexander Korshunov and Mikhail Burla in the working group for the development of the strategy. If necessary, the heads of other parliamentary committees will join the work at the time when members of the group will review the profile sections of the strategic document.
