Spring session will be opened in the Supreme Council on January 23. This day there will be a plenary session. The agenda is being formed. According to the head of the parliamentary committee on economic policy, budget and finance Alexander Korshunov, one of the issues on the agenda is discussion of the budget estimates of the PRB this year. As for the plans of the profile committee, its members will be engaged in the actual content of the Republic’s Development Strategy for 2019-2026. The decree approving this strategic document was signed by the President Vadim Krasnoselsky on December 12, 2018.

First of all, we are talking about the development and adoption of the Concept of budget and tax policy for the medium term, as well as the Tax Code. A separate line in the Strategy spells out the adoption of a new law “On the budget system in Pridnestrovie”. As it was noted in the strategic document, the law must comply with the current realities of the budget process. It provides for a policy of objective and balanced growth of budget expenditures, striving for their 100% provision of real sources of funding, changing the structure of expenditures in the direction of increasing the share of capital investments, developing and introducing modern information technologies, increasing the effectiveness of professional orientation, selection systems, placement and relocation of personnel, etc.

The spring session was opened in the State Duma today. The first plenary session was opened by the chairman Vyacheslav Volodin. At the beginning of the meeting, the deputies honored a minute of silence in memory of those killed in the explosion in an apartment building in Magnitogorsk.

Vyacheslav Volodin in his speech noted that the year 2019 is “the year of the beginning of the implementation of national projects, and it is very important how effectively the tasks set by the President in the Address to the Federal Assembly will be solved”.

There are 1164 legislations in the law-making portfolio of Russian deputies. If earlier the focus of their attention was on the issues of “legislative blocking”, today monitoring and analysis of law enforcement practice comes to the fore.

Alexander Zhukov, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma, said that the draft work program of deputies includes, among other things, legislations were drafted as part of the implementation of the National Anti-Corruption Plan for 2018-2020. It is aimed, in particular, at forming uniform approaches to the establishment by various organizations of anti-corruption prohibitions and duties imposed on certain categories of workers. Alexander Zhukov also noted the legislative initiative, including the Chairman of the State Duma, the Chairman of the Federation Council, representatives of all parliamentary factions. These are the law-in-draft that provides for amendments to the law “On Information, Information Technologies and Information Protection” and the Civil Procedure Code of the Russian Federation. The document was prepared pursuant to the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation, providing for amendments to the legislation aimed at blocking sites used to carry out fraud in the financial market.
