The PMR Prosecutor Anatoly Guretsky during the plenary session informed the legislators about the results of the work of the agency over the past year. The report presents statistical data: how was the supervision over implementation of legislation by executive and representative bodies of state power, local self-government, military control, officials, legal entities, public associations, political parties, citizens, individual entrepreneurs, as well as compliance monitoring published legal acts to the laws in force.
Prosecution authorities revealed 2500 violations of the law and 107 illegal acts in the course of general supervision last year.
Since June last year, the powers of the prosecutor's office have been expanded. The institute of prosecutor's supervision over the bodies of investigation and inquiry has been introduced. The prosecutor’s office was given the authority to approve the indictment and to carry out the state prosecution in criminal proceedings.
The prosecutor of the republic noted the scope of non-compliance with current legislation. This list of violations of the rights of minors: last year, the prosecution authorities considered complaints from parents of schoolchildren about teachers' actions. Offenses in the sphere of pension and social security were identified: citizens' appeals concerned the registration of work experience in the calculation of pensions.

Vice Speaker, Head of the Legislation Committee Galina Antyufeyeva focused on the close cooperation of the supervisory and legislative authorities. The Prosecutor’s Office presented 4 legislative initiatives, and prepared 432 opinions on legislations in 2018.
Following a discussion on the results of the activities of the supervisory authority, the Supreme Council approved the report submitted by the prosecutor's office.
