The post-holiday week began in the parliament with a meeting of the Presidium. Plans were made to improve the legal framework of the republic for the next April-May perspective.

The people's deputies will hear the report of the Prosecutor on the results of the activities of the prosecutor's office in 2017, as well as the report of the Ombudsman on the state of compliance with and protection of human and civil rights and freedoms in the PMR and on the identified shortcomings in the legislation in this area for 2017.

The profile parliamentary committee on legislation brings to the court colleagues in the deputy corps prepared for the second reading legislative initiatives of the president on changing the norms of the Code of Administrative Offenses and the law "On Enforcement Proceedings". The table of amendments consists of 78 to acceptance and 40 to rejection. This is the result of the work of the working group, as well as the deputies of the responsible committee. Speech in the law-in-draft is about strengthening the measures of administrative influence on the violators of the Rules of the road. During the adoption of legislations in the first reading, parliamentarians noted that along with this, in order to reduce the level of accidents on the roads, preventive work should be actively conducted, warning traffic accidents.

As Alexander Korshunov said during the session of the Presidium of the Supreme Council, the deputies of the committee headed by him supported the proposed by the government law-in-draft on changing the norms of the current law "On the Republican Budget 2018" in the first reading. A weighty word on it during the plenary session is to be told to all parliamentarians. In particular, it is regarding allocating budget expenditures in the amount of 684 thousand rubles, intended for treatment of preferential categories of the population, to socially protected articles of the country's main financial document. The veterans of the Great Patriotic War, participants in military operations for the protection of Pridnestrovie, warriors-internationalists, liquidators of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant will be the priority right to sanitation at the state expense. According to the government, the implementation of this decision will create additional guarantees for the financing of this expense item, which has a pronounced social character. Since the budget adopted by the Supreme Council last year, the budget-2018 is balanced in terms of socially protected articles, the highest executive body in the course of the previous meeting of the responsible parliamentary committee was recommended to find a source of coverage for the imbalance that may subsequently form.

Another 25 amendments to the law on the republican budget were the result of the work of the members of the economic policy committee between the first and second reading of the relevant law-in-draft - now they are to be considered by the entire composition of the Supreme Council.

At the end of the meeting, members of the Presidium of the Supreme Council decided on the dates of the May plenary sessions on May 16 and 30. Deputies will meet for plenary sessions April 18 and April 25.
