Deputies approved the agenda for tomorrow's plenary meeting in the course of the meeting of the Presidium of the Supreme Council. It will be held online. A range of issues is of a social nature. In particular, a group of parliamentarians came up with an initiative to increase the size of pensions for those who, during their working period, received a small salary, but at the same time have more work experience than is prescribed by law (the total work experience for women should be 20 years, for men - 25). The deputies receive appeals from such pensioners. The deputies want to prescribe in the legislation a norm that will allow for additional years of work to add additional amounts to the pension. The state will need to find about three million rubles for these purposes. Tomorrow, the deputies are planning to consider the issue of increasing pensions for some categories of citizens in the first reading.
In addition, the deputies of the Supreme Council want to amend the law "On social protection of disabled people" to give the right to disabled people of the III group to receive hearing aids free of charge for medical reasons. Today, only disabled veterans, disabled people of group I for vision, disabled people of groups I and II of general disease, disabled people from childhood I, II groups, disabled children under 18 years and those who have reached 100 years of age have this right. The deputies will consider the law-in-draft tomorrow in two readings at once.
On September 23, the parliament will consider another initiative of a social nature. It concerns the provision of state support to disabled war veterans - combatants who became disabled due to injury, contusion, injury or illness received during the Great Patriotic War, while defending Pridnestrovie, while performing military service duties or official duties in Afghanistan since April 1978 until February 15, 1989. Deputy Sergei Cheban proposed to amend the law “On social protection of war veterans”. In his opinion, it is necessary to compensate such a category of people for the cost of repairing cars bought with their own funds.
The changes in the law will affect 10 disabled veterans. The parliamentarians will consider the law-in-draft in two readings at once, so that the necessary financial resources for these purposes are included in the draft budget for next year.
The Supreme Council in the near future plans to consider the initiative of the deputies of the Committee on Social Policy concerning the provision of assistive devices (wheelchairs, crutches, walkers) for the elderly. The law-in-draft is based on incoming citizens' applications. It will be necessary to determine the mechanism for implementation of the new norm, said the head of the profile committee Sergei Cheban.
