Mikhail Burla, "Fragmentary approach is ineffective"

The chairman of the profile parliamentary committee Mikhail Burla expressed his vision of the affairs in education and science. In his opinion, the committee members managed to establish effective cooperation with the current leadership of the Ministry of Education.

The parliamentarian identified certain areas of work that were not reflected in the report submitted by the government. A number of legislations related to education and science were jointly developed last year. The mechanism of electing the rectors of universities was proposed, the work of the State Institute for the Development of Education was established, the information base of education was reformed.

The legislator noted that the government should evaluate the technical base of educational facilities. It is necessary to determine what exactly needs to be updated. Another area of ​​the ministry's work concerns the creation of scientific products. The customers are ministries and departments. The government needs to assess what and how much was ordered.

The head of the profile committee and the results of the admission campaign touched upon his speech. The government's report, he said, need to reflect all the information related to the arrival of students in vocational schools of our country, to provide an analysis of children admission to foreign universities.

They spoke during the plenary session about the optimization of the education system.

The legislator is sure that a comprehensive development program is needed that affects all areas of the state. "Fragmentary approach is ineffective," the deputy concluded.
