Deputies of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic adopted amendments and additions to the law “On the Republican Budget for 2024” in the second final reading, which envisage an increase in wages for teachers and healthcare workers among other things. Parliamentarians approved the balances of funds generated as of January 1 of this year with amendments to the 2024 budget.
Salaries in the education and social protection systems will increase by 25% from the 1st of February. This will happen due to an increase in the estimated level of the minimum wage. From 9.4 rub up to 11.8 rub for 1 minimum wage. Not only teachers' salaries but also bonuses will be recalculated.
As for the healthcare system, its workers will receive increased wages for the first time in April. It is planned to allocate about 117 million rubles from the republican budget for these purposes.
All medical institutions in the republic, with the exception of dental clinics and sanitary-epidemiological stations, will have to switch to a pilot salary project from the 1st of April. Following the example of the Republican Clinical Hospital, which has been operating this way since July last year. Salaries will increase for almost 8 thousand staff members. The largest increase is expected in healthcare institutions at the republican level.
Approximately 401 million rubles totally are planned to increase salaries for teachers and employees of the healthcare and social protection system.
Parliamentarians approved today in the second final reading the balances of funds generated as of January 1, 2024. We are talking about 324 million rubles. About 250 million rubles of this amount are targeted funds, including reserves for target budget funds, which will remain in the relevant funds (part of these funds is also a source of financing for increasing salaries). The rest of the money should go to paying off the budget deficit, including increasing salaries for teachers and doctors.
It is planned to increase funding for state support to the population, in the amount of about 42 million rubles. The allocation of funds for the implementation of the second stage of introducing an automated fare payment system. Another 57 million rubles are planned to be spent on improvement of rural areas, restoration of roads in rural areas and development of a drinking water supply system in populated areas of the republic. So, it is planned for example to build a water supply network along several streets in the villages of Kitskany and Glinoe in Slobodzeya district, in the villages of Delakeu, Krasnaya Gorka and Krasnoye in Grigoriopol district, in the villages of Doibany-1 and Novo-Komissarovka in Dubossary district and in Kamenka. Additional limits are provided for the Development Fund for the Reclamation Complex and an increase in expenses for the Capital Investment Fund (including for the city stadium in the city of Dnestrovsk and the renovation of several kindergartens and schools in Kamenka district).
The law-in-draft was adopted in the second final reading and sent to the PMR President for signature.
