Pupils and students of Pridnestrovie mainly use old textbooks. According to the data of the Department of Public Education of cities and districts, the depreciation of the educational fund is 69%. New textbooks are only 17%. This information is presented in the report on the implementation of the "Textbook" state target program in 2024 (it is valid from 2022 to 2026). Deputies of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic considered the report at a plenary session today. The Ministry of Education notes that the educational fund of general education organizations of Pridnestrovie is rapidly becoming obsolete and in 2-3 years the depreciation of the educational fund may reach 100%, even despite the "Textbook" state target program and the provision of schools with new teaching aids. 1 million 118 thousand 135 rubles were allocated in 2024 from the republican budget to finance the state program, which is 99% of the planned funds. 30 types of textbooks were published for a total of 878.6 thousand rubles in the amount of 8102 copies. These are textbooks for special correctional organizations (495 copies), for secondary vocational education organizations in general and specialized disciplines (1800 copies), textbooks for schools with the Moldovan language of instruction (1094 copies), with the Russian language of instruction (4550 copies) and with the Ukrainian language of instruction (163 copies). The published educational literature was received by educational organizations of the republic in accordance with the contingent of students, the report notes.
Editorial and publishing preparation of 16 textbooks for educational organizations with Russian language of instruction, with Moldovan language of instruction and with Ukrainian language of instruction was carried outlast year. These works were financed for a total of 239.5 thousand rubles.

At the same time, deputies expressed concern about the situation with the obsolescence of the educational fund and proposed to study options for providing schools and other educational institutions with teaching aids without attracting additional funds from the republican budget in the course of the meeting of the relevant Committee on Education, Public Associations and Mass Media.
