Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Shcherba, his deputy Galina Antyufeeva – are among the participants of the meeting in an expanded format with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Moldova Farit Mukhametshin. There are also representatives of the Russian embassy at the table, ​​head of the PMR CEC Elena Gorodetskaya, Deputy Prime Minister Stanislav Kasap, members of the Government, heads of state administrations.

The Chairman of the Central Election Commission informed the participants of the meeting about the work already done by the CEC, the Supreme Council, the government, local authorities and the public on the preparation and holding of the election of the President of the Russian Federation. They are scheduled for March 18 this year.

The head of the Russian diplomatic mission in Moldova, Farit Mukhametshin, introduced the embassy staff, who in the remaining time before the voting will be engaged in pre-election processes. On March 18, 24 polling stations will open in the republic. This is two (in Tiraspol and Bendery) more than in the previous elections to the State Duma in September 2016. The number of members of election commissions to avoid queuing at polling stations will be about 700 people, they will be headed by representatives of the embassy.

According to the Russian diplomat, the main thing is to ensure equal opportunities for all candidates and their proxies in order to organize meetings with voters and to agitate. Farit Mukhametshin aimed the meeting participants to ensure that everything passed within the law, that there were no violations of the electoral law, organization that are not authorized to do it not to campaign for candidates. Particular attention in preparation for voting will be given to informing the public about where the polling stations will be located, from when will they begin work and when it will be completed, so that people can come and use their constitutional right in time. During the meeting various issues of organization, provision of the electoral process, district commissions - necessary campaign materials, other pre-election information were discussed.

It is planned to organize the training of members of precinct election commissions to explain the rights and powers conferred on them by the electoral legislation of the Russian Federation and the duties assigned to them.
