Parliamentarians during the plenary session supported a number of legislations relating to the functioning of the education sector. As the Minister of Education Tatiana Loginova informed the people's representatives, during the implementation of “The Textbook” state program there was a saving in the amount of 87 thousand rubles. These funds are proposed to be directed to the purchase of textbooks on the history of Pridnestrovie for 11 classes. This academic discipline was introduced as compulsory this year, but there were not enough textbooks. The savings will be enough to meet the need of educational institutions.
The changes voted by deputies will affect the laws “On the republican budget 2018” and “On approval of “The Textbook” state target program for 2017–2021”. The legislations are supported in the first reading.
Amendments to the law on the republican budget for this year have also been adopted. Earlier, deputies supported amendments to the law "On Preschool Education". The essence of the enshrined norm is that the maximum amount of payment for feeding children in preschool institutions is established by the law on the republican budget for the relevant financial year.
It is proposed to extend this legal norm to educational organizations that implement educational programs of primary general, basic general and secondary (full) general education.
Schoolchildren living in a dormitory will be able now to get three hot meals a day. Deputies supported the law-in-draft in the first reading. At the same time, they emphasized the need to pay attention to the cost of food in educational institutions.
This question will be taken into account when working on the law-in-draft in the second reading mode.
The deputies during the plenary session adopted a legislative initiative of the head of the relevant committee Mikhail Burla who proposed amendments to the law “On Education”. As the legislator said, we are talking about situations where the final certification in some educational institutions passes after passing exams to higher educational institutions. This applies to a number of institutions under the Ministry of Defense, Ministry of the Interior. The proposed law-in-draft is intended to secure the Ministry of Education the authority to determine the timing and duration of the final state certification examinations for all educational institutions, regardless of departmental subordination. The law-in-draft was supported by deputies in the first reading.
