Deputies will consider several legislative initiatives of the President tomorrow in the course of the plenary session. One of them concerns the management of transport with power of attorney to drive a vehicle. According to the author of the legislative initiative, the presence or absence of a power of attorney does not affect road safety. The President proposes to exclude the provision of the law on the mandatory presence of a power of attorney to drive a vehicle. The adoption of the proposed amendment will not restrict vehicle owners to issue powers of attorney, since this right is enshrined in the PMR Civil Code.
It is planned to consider the law-in-draft with amendments to the law "On State Duty" in two readings at once at one of the next plenary sessions. The President proposes to release the defenders of the republic from paying the state duty for technical inspection of the car. This privilege is already valid for disabled people, participants in hostilities during the Great Patriotic War, invalids of the Great Patriotic War, for persons equated to participants in the war in 1941-1945, including former prisoners of concentration camps, and those who worked during the siege in Leningrad.
In accordance with the schedule of work of the Parliament, the deputy corps in the first reading will consider the law-in-draft on the approval of the "Prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases in PMR for 2022–2026" state target program. A new program for Pridnestrovie was developed by order of the President of the PMR and is designed for 5 years. The development of the program is due to the fact that diseases of the circulatory system are one of the main problems for the health and quality of life of people.
The Supreme Council will consider the law-in-draft with amendments to the law "On social protection of disabled people" at one of the next meetings in the second reading. The law-in-draft was developed in order to increase the availability of housing for disabled people of I and II groups, as well as disabled children under the age of 18, moving in wheelchairs. It is often necessary to remove interior thresholds, mount handrails, and expand door and arched openings to make it convenient to move in wheelchairs. It is proposed to fix at the legislative level the payment of compensation to these categories of disabled people if they have adapted living quarters for their needs at their own expense.
