The main issue of the meeting of the first consultative meeting of Pridnestrovian deputies was the violation of freedom of speech in the republic. We discussed the situation with the withdrawal in the next issue of the population of the newspaper "The person and his rights" (№19 (468) from 18 September this year). According to the editor of the independent newspaper Nikolay Buceatski, calls from Bendery militia and then from distributors of the newspaper were October 1. The police officers demanded to come to the office, the citizens complained and were outraged. Newspapers were seized as at those who handed out, from Pridnestrovians who have received the latest issue. People are literally in the form of knock on every door, figuring, requiring selecting and citing only on some oral instruction of management. The next day, a similar situation appeared in Rybnitsa district.
In this regard, Nikolai Buceatski prepared a statement, which describes the current situation, that the state-run media turned into presidential, recalls the events of 2013, when closed, independent online resources. The journalist insists on the freedom of the protection of citizens' rights of expression and to information and preparing documents for submission to the court.
Discussing the situation, the participants, among whom were not only former but current Deputies (Galina Antyufeeva, Andrei Safonov, Vadim Kravchuk), remembered and other historical facts. Natalia Vorobieva recalled how in 2015 the printing house "The printer" on trumped-up pretexts refused to print the newspaper "The Labor Tiraspol", and Anna Volkova returned colleagues in 1989, when the entire edition of the same publication was confiscated because of the article "The Tsurkan vs. Tsurkan" the first secretary of the party Committee of Tiraspol.
Members of the consultative meeting agreed on the need to appeal to the president, who is the guarantor of the Constitution, to provide citizens with the right to information. In addition, according to the first deputies, the head of state should be to assess the actions of law enforcement officers. A similar problem is posed in front of the Prosecutor and PMR and the Commissioner for Human Rights. Representatives of the Ministry of Interior addressed a statement in which they are called upon to remember the oath of the state and the people whose interests they must defend. Ex-lawmakers ask for assistance and to their current counterparts. They asked the Supreme Council not only to take measures to protect the constitutional rights of citizens, but also to increase the circulation of the parliamentary newspaper "The Councils of the People", as well as to assist in preparing for the release of a publication advisory meeting.
One of the following discussion of the parliamentary veterans may become budget - execution of the main financial document of 2016 and the first project in 2017.
