Last year, 30 plenary sessions and 54 sessions of the Presidium of the Supreme Council were held. The deputies considered 837 issues, according to which 837 resolutions of the Supreme Council were adopted, 75 of which are non-normative.

Among them there are laws that are new for the legal framework of the republic: "On road safety", "On compulsory insurance of civil liability of vehicle owners", "On approval of the state target program "Provision of housing for orphans, children left without parental care, persons from among orphans and children left without parental care for the period 2018-2027", "On the use of the state flag of the Russian Federation on the territory of the PMR", "On public hearings", "On the citizenship of the PMR", "On the Electronic Document and Electronic Signature", "On Counteracting Corruption", "On Anti-Corruption Expertise of Regulatory Legal Acts and Draft Normative Legal Acts", "On Controlling the Correspondence of Expenditures of Persons Occupying Public Positions and Other Persons to Their Incomes", "On Public Chamber of the PMR", "On meetings, rallies, demonstrations, street processions and picketing", "On the basis of public control in the PMR", etc.
Last year, the Supreme Council rejected 41 legislations, 93 legislative initiatives were withdrawn by their authors.
During the period of 2017, 453 legislative initiatives were submitted to the Supreme Council from the subjects of the law for legislative initiative. Their authors are: the President - 63 (40 of them in the legislative necessity regime), the Government - 144, the Prosecutor - 10, the Arbitration Court - 1, the Supreme Court - 2, the Commissioner for Human Rights - 1, the Federation of Trade Unions of Pridnestrovie - 3, the Tiraspol City Council - 4, Bendery city council - 7, Rybnitsa city council - 1, Grigoriopol district council - 4, Kamenka district council - 1, Dubossary city council - 3. 209 legislative initiatives are presented by parliamentarians.
The city, district, village and village councils are part of the general system of representative power. In the past year, they held 638 sessions, during which 5096 questions were considered. The largest number concerned the approval of programs, provisions (94); privatization (75), taxes, fees (60), improvement, social and economic development and housing and communal services (62), local property (53), budget (44), 36 deputy requests.
