The school of five heroes is 130

The 130th anniversary of the Tiraspol Humanitarian and Mathematical Gymnasium was celebrated on the 24th of February. The holiday was celebrated for three weeks. There was everything: drawing competitions, wall newspapers, historical class hours, radio lines, flash mobs and dedication of first-graders to high school students. The main event took place in the capital's House of Culture at the last moment. Veterans of pedagogical work, teachers, guests of honor, parents of students, gymnasium students, school graduates and guests of the holiday gathered together at the solemn meeting. Among them there was Deputy of the Parliamentary Committee on Education, Public Associations and Mass Media Oleg Vasilaty.

The gymnasium has become a second home for many students who have received not only knowledge and skills, but also friends for life for 130 years. There are new discoveries and opportunities every day. Gymnasium teachers not only impart knowledge, but inspire and motivate students to achieve great heights.

The oldest educational institution in the city has a rich history. The school museum lovingly preserves photographs and documents, memorabilia and letters from former students. Many famous people became graduates of the gymnasium. Future Heroes of the Soviet Union studied here before the Great Patriotic War: V.A. Bochkovsky, S.I. Poletsky, G.G. Chernienko, P.A. Shcherbinko, M.A. Pavlotsky. The gymnasium is now called the School of Five Heroes. Among the graduates were Heroes of Socialist Labor: M.A. Koptilnikov, V.V. Solovieva, I.D. Dyachenko.
