The second congress of Pridnestrovian Public Forum gathered over half a thousand delegates - representatives of various public associations from all cities and regions of the republic. The forum was attended by the head of state Vadim Krasnoselsky, Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Shcherba, Prime Minister Alexander Martynov, as well as deputies and heads of ministries and departments.
Opening the forum, Vadim Krasnoselsky noted that 100 days have passed since his election. During this time, according to the head of state, important steps were taken to improve the situation in the republic. The President in his speech noted every branch of the national economy, indicating what was done and what remains to be done. Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that to it is necessary to consolidate, not monopolize power, develop the economy, and strengthen public control to implement the plan. The head of state mentioned in his speech the most problematic issues for each Pridnestrovian: it is the possibility of establishing a joint Moldovan-Ukrainian post at the Kuchurgan checkpoint, the resumption of the negotiation process in the 5 + 2 format, and solving social and health problems.
One of the first steps of the new government, according to the chairman, Alexander Martynov, was the elimination of "gray" schemes. The enterprises-intermediaries "NEC" and "Tirasmet" ceased their activity. Thanks to this, state enterprises sent funds directly to the budget. In addition, in March, the work of the Moldovan Metallurgical Plant was resumed. This was achieved thanks to the joint efforts of all branches of government, as well as the employees of the enterprise. The Prime Minister spoke about the need for structural reforms in each industry, involving the public in this work. This applies to administrative, budgetary, tax, tariff policies.
Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Shcherba spoke about the need to strengthen public control. It is possible to solve all the pressing problems in the conditions of partnership between the government and society. A group of deputies of the responsible parliamentary committee to consolidate the people's control legislatively developed two legislative initiatives - "On the Public Chamber" and "On the Basics of Public Control". At present, they are under consideration of the Supreme Council.
Participants of the congress raised the pressing issues related to paid medical services, the condition of the Dniester River, the personnel, youth and tariff policy, people's diplomacy.
The dialogue between the leadership of the republic and the public lasted more than three hours. As a result, the resolution of the congress was adopted. The Prime Minister suggested that each ministry and department attach representatives of the ARPF. This will ensure effective public control over the adoption of government decisions.
