A single day of voting according to the Electoral Code of PMR will be held on the 29th of November. Legislative authority of the Republic aims to help ensure that the elections are held without violations. The campaign will take place in the autumn months. The census is planned for October this year. Parliamentarian Grigory Dyachenko proposed during this process to introduce a ban on agitation. The relevant committee will recommend to the deputies to adopt relevant law-in-draft on introducing amendments to the law "On the Population Census in Pridnestrovie" in the second reading.
The Committee on Legislation considered the amendments to the law "On counteraction to legitimization (laundering) of income proceeding from crime and financing of terrorism". The document focuses on the improvement of mechanisms to ensure the implementation of existing laws. As noted by the Deputy Chairman of the Pridnestrovian Republican Bank Alena Shulga, it was adopted in 2009. The Russian law 2003 was taken as the basis. The representative of the PRB considers it necessary today that Pridnestrovian basic law norms aligned with the new recommendations of the FATF (Financial Action Group against Money Laundering), adopted in February 2012. As a result of the initiatives adoption the provisions of international standards will form the banking system.
In particular, the law-in-draft proposes to amend the list of subjects of financial monitoring, complete the list of controlled operations, to extend the provision of information to the authorized agencies of the organizations carrying out transactions with cash. The point at issue of the document is regarding assignment of duties subjects to provide the requested by PRB information on cash flow on accounts (deposits) customers as well as to notify the authorized agency to conduct customer transactions (deals). Legislative initiative proposes to introduce the institution of blocking (freezing) non-cash or non-documentary securities and property of persons involved in extremist activity or terrorism.
This Relevant committee for legislation supported the law-in-draft and would recommend to for adoption it in the first reading in plenary.
