The Economic Policy Committee Meeting was held

The Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance meeting was held online.  Parliamentarians considered in the first reading the law-in-draft on introducing amendments and additions to the law “On the Republican Budget for 2024”, as well as amendments and additions to the law “On Insolvency (Bankruptcy)”. Both legislations were submitted for consideration in the first reading.

The amendments to the budget law were initiated by the President. Vadim Krasnoselsky proposes to adjust the volume of financing for compensation of costs incurred by the State Unitary Enterprise “Water Supply and Sanitation” as a result of providing state support to citizens of the PMR, as well as persons with refugee status, in the form of a reduction in the cost of consumed utilities. It is proposed to increase and redistribute republican budget expenditures across the Capital Investment Fund.

The legislative initiative of the Government of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic concerns the introduction of amendments and additions to the law “On Insolvency (Bankruptcy)”. As the Government representative noted, it was prepared for the purpose of repaying as part of insolvency procedures, the debt of debtors-legal entities whose debt to budgets and extra-budgetary funds in general is at least 1 million calculated levels of the minimum wage and whose movable property includes, excluding vehicles, a minimum quantity of 1 million items is available.

Deputies of the Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance considered both initiatives in the first reading.

Today, at the meeting of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, these legislations were submitted for consideration by the deputy corps at the plenary meeting on the 29th of May.
