Parliamentarians in the course of the meeting of the Commission on mandates, regulations and deputy ethics discussed the appeal of the Prime Minister and Director of the "Asset Management Bureau" associated with the activities of the head of "Bendery car assembly plant" Anatoly Kotsyubenko. He heads the company since October, 2014. At the same time he was a member of the Supreme Council of the V convocation. Today, the question of his dismissal of the director of the public company was raised. Under current law a former legislator can only be dismissed with the consent of the Supreme Council after the termination of the deputy's mandate for two years. Members of the Commission, after hearing the arguments of both parties agreed that the reasons for termination of the employment contract are not related to parliamentary activity Anatoly Kotsyubenko. That’s why the decision was taken to recommend to the Supreme Council to agree with termination of functions of the director of the plant.
The stakeholders’ argument was polar. The Leader of "Asset Management Bureau" refers to the disastrous situation at the enterprise, linking the causes with incompetence of the plant director. Anatoly Kotsyubenko insists that financial indicators increased significantly during his management. The relevant state bodies have to understand the situation. With regard to parliamentary involvement in the resolution of this issue, one more step discussion will take place in the course of the plenary session.
