The Parliamentary Committee on Legislation prepared for adoption a package of legislations in the final reading changing the mechanism for making for the President initiatives submission in the regime of legislative necessity. That is, the suspension of the Parliament on other legislations is possible with the deputies themselves will determine priority consideration of draft laws.

As it turned out, the talk about reducing the turnout for the presidential elections was not complete. An offer of Andrei Safonov and Igor Buga on the reduction from the current 50% to 25% was supported by deputies. The law-in-draft was adopted by the Supreme Council and sent to the president for signature. But the president vetoed it and returned for re-examination of the parliamentarians, proposing the creation of a special conciliation commission to settle the differences. It was stated in the justification for the veto that the President considers it appropriate to maintain the 50 per cent turnout. In this stage of parliamentary consideration received a proposal to limit to 40%. According to the official representative of the President, the Commission needs to develop a compromise that is in the range between 25% and 50%.

As a result, members of the Committee on Legislation decided to recommend to the plenary to overcome a presidential veto by approving the law-in-draft in the previous edition.
