The law-in-draft will be considered at one of the next plenary sessions in the second final reading along with additions to the law "On Protection of Consumer Rights". They were discussed by deputies in the course of the meeting of the Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance.
The law-in-draft is being prepared for consideration at the plenary session in the second final reading. The author of the legislative initiative, deputy Viktor Guzun, c that the legislative framework needs to be corrected and effective approaches to regulating relations arising in the process of purchasing goods (works, services) by consumers from manufacturers, performers, sellers should be created. The current law was adopted back in 1995 and simply does not meet current realities. For example, deputies propose to make amendments to the current law, which will enshrine the concept of “consumer”. It is planned in addition to fix a new article in the legislation that will regulate the rights and obligations of the manufacturer (executor, seller) in the field of establishing the service life, shelf life of the product (work), as well as the warranty period for the product (work). There will be an article in the new version of the law that provides for the consequences of a violation by the seller of the deadline for transferring the prepaid goods to the consumer.
