Members of the parliamentary committee on education, science and culture returned to the discussion of the law-in-draft of deputies Vladimir Bodnar and Oleg Khorzjan regarding the abolition of the USE as the only form of state final examination (DPA). On the eve of the meeting the relevant committee discussed Amendments of conceptual character with the Ministry of Education. The authors of the legislative initiative abandoned the regulation, proposed to evaluate the results of the DPA educated by marks from zero to five, thereby retain the right to use the usual five-point system of examination. Parliamentarians and representatives of relevant ministries have come to the consensus regarding ideology of the law-in-draft, relating to the separation process, final exams and introductory campaign in this regard. Legal entities agree with position concerning the possibility of the student to repeat the final exam on which unsatisfactory evaluation was received, prior to the admission tests. The amendments are also directed at choosing the form of school exams and order of its passing. It is necessary to discuss further the issue of entry provisions of the law-in-draft into force. It is planned to continue its consideration of the proposals in the operation mode. According to the head of the Education Committee, Vladimir Bodnar, the result of joint work should be a law that will work effectively.
The deputy also has authored a package of legislations aimed at the preservation of the archaeological heritage of the republic and the prevention of illegal trafficking of archaeological objects. In particular, the author proposes to harmonize the regulations of the law "On immovable cultural heritage sites" regarding transfer of items of historical and cultural significance to the state ownership. The law-in-draft also proposed to improve the standards of criminal and administrative responsibility for violation of legislation in the sphere of protection and use of immovable cultural heritage. Initiatives are aimed at harmonizing with the Russian legislation. Members of the parliamentary committee will recommend to colleagues deputies to adopt a package of legislations in the first reading.
