Persons with disabilities I, II, III groups of sight, children with disabilities under 18 years of age, disabled children with vision of three groups will be entitled to receive free glasses for vision correction. Deputies of the relevant parliamentary committee approved amendments to the law "On the social protection of persons with disabilities". Today, the cost of a pair of glasses, taking into account the rim and lenses is about 400 rubles. It is planned that 157 citizens will receive state support.
The deputies of the profile committee recommended adopting the law-in-draft in two readings at once in the course of the plenary session.
Parliamentarians also considered the issue of employment of persons with disabilities. The President commissioned to improve legislation in this area.
Interlocutors talked about the experience of European countries. For example, in Germany, 82% of disabled people are employed. In our republic, this percentage is several times less. The Committee on Social Policy and the relevant ministry plan to begin joint work in this direction. Proposals will be developed taking into account the opinion of public organizations that unite special people in their ranks.
Deputies in the course of the meeting of the Committee discussed law-in-draft on state support for long-livers. This status in our republic is enjoyed by people aged one hundred years and older. Two long-livers today live in Dubossary and one each in Tiraspol and Slobodzeya. They are exempted from payment for the use of thermal energy, water, sewage, gas, electricity, maintenance and repair of the elevator, other utilities, and living in houses without central heating - from paying for fuel. Since the beginning of this year, the service for the removal of solid waste has "dropped" from the list of free services. It is proposed to correct this situation by amending the legislation.

The meeting considered amendments to the law "On pharmaceutical activity". They were authored by deputies of the Committee on Social Policy. The law-in-draft is aimed at improving the procedure of state registration of medicines for medical use and medical products. Terminology gaps are eliminated. This law-in-draft has been submitted to the Supreme Council on the basis of an appeal by the Association of Pharmacists of Pridnestrovie. When developing the document, the law enforcement practice of other countries was taken into account.
