Deputies of the Committee on Social Policy and Healthcare supported in the course of the meeting the law-in-draft adoption that concerns the possibility for war invalids to apply for the benefit of dental prosthetics using metal-ceramics. This possibility is excluded in the current law "On social protection of war veterans". 255 war invalids have the right to receive privileged extraordinary free dental prosthetics in Pridnestrovie, at the moment. They are entitled to an extraordinary free production and repair of dentures in polyclinics, with the exception of dentures made of precious metals, porcelain, metal-ceramics once every 5 years.
The Law “On the Social Protection of War Veterans” recognizes war veterans as combatants who became disabled due to injury, concussion, injury or disease received during the Great Patriotic War, while defending the USSR in other wars, armed conflicts, other military operations as well as during protection of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic in the performance of military service or official duties on the territory of other states, those who became disabled during the military conflict in Pridnestrovie and in the post-war period from ammunition, mine explosive devices and explosives or when performing mine clearance.
According to Chairman of the Committee on Social Policy and Health Sergei Cheban, next year's budget includes an amount of 250000 rubles for free dental prosthetics for war invalids. The law-in-draft must be considered and adopted before the start of the new budget year.
Deputies plan to consider amendments to the law “On social protection of war veterans” in two readings at the plenary session on the 14th of December. If the law-in-draft is passed next year, war invalids will be able to make dentures from metal-ceramic. This expensive material has proven itself positively in dental practice at the moment, the average wearing period is 10 years. Therefore, the number of patients who want to use cermets is growing.
Deputies of the Committee on Social Policy and Health considered the issue of the implementation of labor legislation in subordinate institutions of the Ministry of Health.
