The initiative of the winner of the Republican competition of draft laws "#ВПраве" was considered in the first reading at a meeting of the Committee on Legislation, Protection of Rights and Freedoms of Citizens. Let us recall that it was held for the first time, and the organizers were the public movement "Civil Initiative", the Supreme Council of the PMR and the Pridnestrovian Human Rights Center under the Union of Russian Communities of Pridnestrovie.

A student of the Faculty of Law of PSU Vladimir Zinar took first place among the young participants of the project in the final, which took place in April. The Civil Initiative movement appealed to the Supreme Council with a proposal to consider initiatives, including the winner's initiative: to legally enshrine the institution of mentoring in Pridnestrovie, the procedure for its implementation and the terms of payments through employment contracts, regulations and agreements.

The draft law was introduced by deputies Galina Antyufeeva, Oleg Petrik and Sergey Cheban.

The Labor Code of the PMR does not specifically regulate relations related to mentoring today. Mentors often do not have clearly defined rights and guarantees, and their work does not always receive a decent reward. The introduction of legislative regulation of mentoring will increase the motivation of employees to perform this function, ensuring their social protection and recognition of work. The interest of the mentor in sharing his experience will help young specialists to adapt more quickly to a new place.

The law-in-draft on introducing an amendment to the Labor Code of the PMR was unanimously supported in the first reading in the course of the meeting of the relevant committee. In the near future, the law-in-draft will be submitted for consideration by deputies at a plenary meeting of the Supreme Council.
