Parliamentarians Viktor Guzun, Galina Antyufeva and Vadim Kravchuk propose to soften the current norms of the Law "Special Tax Regime – simplified tax system". A package of legislations was considered by deputies in the course of the meeting of the specialized parliamentary committee on economic policy. It is proposed to allow business entities working on simplified taxation system, to continue entrepreneurial activities in case of untimely payment of taxes provided for by specialized law. According to the current norm of the law, if an entrepreneur who applies a simplified taxation system has allowed untimely payment of taxes and other obligatory payments to the budget and extra –budgetary funds for a period of 30 calendar days or more from a set deadline, he loses the right to work on simplified taxation system from the next calendar year. Entrepreneurs asked the Supreme Council with a request to revise the norm of the law, since they cannot pay tax payments in a timely manner in the current economic realities, especially legal entities, due to untimely settlements by counterparties.

Thus, the law-in-draft proposes to exclude the conditions for the termination of the simplified taxation system by untimely payment of tax payments for a period of 30 calendar days or more. The second law-in-draft in the package proposes to supplement the Code of Administrative Offenses clause 2-1 of article 15.5, which for non-fulfillment of the obligation to pay taxes and other obligatory payments of the organization and individual entrepreneurs working on simplification will be fined. In the event that tax payment is overdue by more than 3 months and the amount of overdue payments exceeds 100 rubles of minimum wages. The sizes of fines are different – from 50 to 350 minimum wages.

The representative of the Ministry of Finance emphasized that these legislations are currently relevant and the government imprisonment on them is positive.

The Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance proposed to put a package of legislative initiatives to the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic in the near future and in two readings at once.
