The legislations designed to help villagers

One of the main problems of almost every rural settlements of the republic - the lack of lighting in the streets. Under the current legislation on the development of street lighting system from the Road Fund was allocated only 10%. According to the authors of the aw-in-draft - deputies of the Slobodzeya town and district council - this is not enough. The proposed rule would allow them to local authorities themselves to determine the size of the necessary investments. Depending on the specific situation in a given locality, this amount may be increased to 30%. The legislative initiative was supported by members of the Committee of the Supreme Council on agriculture, transport, construction, natural resources and the environment, recommended for adoption in the second reading.

Another legislative initiative designed to help residents of rural areas. The current norm of the Land Code allows the village council to decide on the allocation and withdrawal of land. However, presidential decree in 2012, these powers were given to the heads of administrations of cities and districts. This situation, according to Anton Onufrienko author of the law-in-draft, forcing people to travel long distances from rural to urban, waste and energy, and money. In this regard, Anton Onufrienko proposed amendments to the Land Code.
