Last year was marked by jubilees: the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory and the 30th anniversary of Pridnestrovie. This was reflected in the work of the state media: the First Pridnestrovian TV channel, the Radio 1 station, the News of Pridnestrovie news agency, the Pridnestrovie, Adevarul Nistryan and Gomin newspapers. New sections and series of programs have been prepared about the history of the creation of the republic, its achievements and stages of formation. Materials about the Great Patriotic War, veterans were published. Online print media participated in the "Immortal Regiment" by publishing photographs of front-line soldiers sent by readers. The editors-in-chief of state mass media spoke about this at an online meeting of the Committee on Education, Public Associations and the Media.

The pandemic has made its own adjustments to the work of state media. Some of the employees switched to a telecommuting format. Despite this, all news on air and in print were released on time. Attention was paid to informing Pridnestrovians about the measures taken by the state to counter the spread of coronavirus infection, about the decisions made by the Operations Headquarters and the leadership of the republic, about state support for the population during the pandemic.

2020 has become the year of the development of online media work through social networks and instant messengers. Work in a new format is an important area, it was noted at the meeting of the Committee.

The deputies focused their attention on preserving printed publications and increasing their circulation. The issue of subscription to state newspapers by the authorities should be raised at the level of the Government, according to the Committee.

State media also covered the development of the republic's economy, agro-industrial complex, small and medium-sized businesses, tourism, an accessible environment for people with disabilities and other issues during the reporting period. There were published materials dedicated to the Year of Health and the Year of Youth.

The final reports of the editors-in-chief will be considered by the deputy corps at one of the plenary sessions. The dedicated committee will recommend approval of the submitted documents.
