Комитет по образованию, науке, культуре, общественным объединениям, спорту, информационной и молодежной политике

Amendments are being made to the Law "On Education", which will establish a unified procedure for attestation for employees of educational organizations and other institutions conducting pedagogical activities. This applies to the work of centers for the rehabilitation of children with special needs and a center for working with difficult adolescents.

The initiative was considered by the deputies of the Committee on Education, Public Associations and Mass Media. Different approach to the certification procedure at the present time has been established, which puts specialists in unequal conditions, as the Minister of Education Alla Nikolyuk explained. Teachers of organizations engaged in educational activities do not have the right to be certified today. After the adoption of amendments to the basic law, there will be a clear structure of certification procedures both for the suitability of the position held and for the qualification category for all organizations. In practice, it will be necessary to develop an attestation procedure and amend the charters of organizations.

The profile committee will recommend to the deputies to adopt the law-in-draft in the first reading at the plenary session.
