Deputies of the Supreme Council hold plenary sessions every week during the last month. The next one will be held on the 17th and 24th of June. In all probability this situation will continue until the end of the 9th session of the 5th convocation in view of a large number of legislations that need to be considered, discussed and adopted.
Deputies, at tomorrow's plenary session, plan to consider two related issues - termination of appointment of the Deputy Prosecutor PMR Catherine Lysenko and appointment of Valentina Ustenko to the post. This personnel matters within the exclusive competence of the legislature last week, was considered at the meeting of parliamentary committee on legislation.
In the course of one of the next plenary sessions the deputies will consider the legislative initiative of Alexander Korshunov and Peter Pasat "On additional measures aimed at stabilizing the economy of PMR" in the second reading. The responsible parliamentary committee in the course of the meeting considered the presented document, formed amendments table for the discussion. They are based on anti-crisis proposals of legislators, representatives of the real sector of economy, small and medium-sized businesses. Lawmakers have to discuss the report of the Pridnestrovian Republican Bank on the activities of the previous year.
The agenda of tomorrow's plenary session includes law-in-draft "On amendments to the Constitution of PMR", developed by a group of deputies consisting of 15 people. The purpose of the legal act adoption is to ensure the access of local self-government - the Council of People's Deputies of cities, districts - to the constitutional principle of justice and execution of the full recognition and guarantee of local government by the Basic Law of the republic. The amendments to the Constitution proposed to supplement the list of authorized entities to make inquiries to the Constitutional Court, the Council of People's Deputies of cities, districts, in order to legally formalize their access to constitutional justice.
Issues of improving the election legislation continue to be relevant in the legislative process. This is due to a single day of voting November 29, 2015 in the Republic - to elect deputies of the Supreme and local councils. Currently, we are working to define the boundaries of electoral districts. Their legislators have to approve it up to 30 of August. The greatest difficulty in terms of combination of boundaries of polling stations and constituencies for elections to the local Councils of People's Deputies of cities, districts and the Supreme Council arose in the capital. It is extremely important to observe the requirements of the Electoral Code that polling should not cross the border constituency as a voter in a single day of voting should visit only one polling station and vote on it for the candidates for deputies to the representative bodies at various levels.
According to the Chairman of the Supreme Council Mikhail Burla, during last week's visit to Moscow and meetings in the State Duma the Pridnestrovian parliament officially invited Russian colleagues to take part in the upcoming fall elections as international observers.
