The PMR Supreme Council of the adopted the law-in-draft “On approval of the state target program “Prevention of viral hepatitis B and C for 2021–2024 ” in the second non-final reading in the course of the plenary session. The Committee on Social Policy and Health has finalized for the second reading several chapters of the draft program proposed by the Government, made more than 60 amendments. The program should begin in 2021; the first stage of its implementation requires 2.5 million rubles. This money will be used to organize a state register of patients with viral hepatitis B and C and to develop laboratory diagnostics and screening services for these types of viral hepatitis to purchase reagents for the already operating laboratories of the Center for the Prevention and Control of AIDS and Infectious Diseases in particular.
Pridnestrovie needs a targeted program for the prevention of viral hepatitis B and C, according to both the Ministry of Health and the Supreme Council. The hepatitis epidemic in the republic is unfavorable. According to official statistics, the incidence is 1.1 people per 100 thousand people. About 40 million rubles are needed for the entire period of the program. They will go to diagnostics, treatment and preventive measures to prevent the emergence of new cases of hepatitis B and C. Approximately 9 million rubles annually will be allocated for these measures from the budget.
The treatment of viral hepatitis has already been introduced in many countries now, which is used with success. There are good results - 98% of the sick are cured. It is planned to treat about 50% of patients with viral hepatitis during 4 years in our republic. Preventive measures will include media coverage, community outreach, booklets, leaflets and lectures. It is also planned to create a website where data from all medical institutions of the republic will be collected.
The law “On approval of the state target program “ Prevention of viral hepatitis B and C for 2021–2024” was adopted by the Supreme Council in the second non-final reading. The profile committee will prepare it for consideration in the third reading simultaneously with the draft law providing for amendments to the republican budget for 2021.
