In the course of the parliamentary meeting of the Presidium of the Supreme Council, its members decided to hold plenary sessions every Wednesday. Such a regime will be in force for deputies until the end of the 9th session of the 5th convocation. The next plenary meeting will be held tomorrow, the next - July 1, the following - July 8. Its agenda is the subject of discussion by members of the Presidium in the course of the meeting.
Parliamentarians of two relevant committees on security and social policy in the course of the day before the meeting decided to recommend colleagues deputies to overcome the veto of the President regarding two previously adopted laws by the Supreme Council "On amendments and addendum to the Law of PMR "On arms turnover and ammunition on the territory of Pridnestrovie" and "On Amending the Law of PMR "On protection of citizens' health from exposure environmental tobacco smoke and consequences of tobacco consumption". The first law concerns more detailed regulation in terms and conditions of extending permits to keep and bear arms (it is offered for two weeks). Law enforcement practice indicates a tightening of terms by internal affairs agencies. Parliamentarians expelled rule prohibiting the sale of tobacco products in the 100 meters from educational institutions in the second law. The deputies will make the final verdict regarding vetoed by the president two laws at the plenary.
When the president imposed a veto on the adopted by people's deputies law "On Amendments to the Law of PMR "On additional guarantees for the social protection of orphans and children left without parental care", the Supreme Council established the conciliation commission. The result of its work was coordinated decision on the availability of this category of children of higher vocational education training programs, bachelor and master's degrees from the state budget, but with the condition of study at a higher level of already acquired, not a new specialty.
The parliamentarians will consider at tomorrow's plenary session in the second reading the document extremely important for the economy of the Republic - the draft Concept of industrial policy in the 2015-2019. The appropriate committee on development of small and medium-sized businesses and industries have systematically analyzed and received amendments in its address. There are 12 of them totally. Some of them concern the methods of promotion of Pridnestrovian producers’ goods on domestic and foreign markets, involvement of public-private partnership, the law which is already in force.
The deputies of the responsible committee on social policy are going to insist on the adoption of amendments to the current law "On Militia". It is about maintaining the benefits of paying for utility services and housing and utilities sector for the minor children of employees of the Interior, who died while on duty, owing to a military trauma or diseases, received during the period of service. Total number of such children in the country is 46. It is proposed to extend the provisions of the law next year.
Another issue on the agenda of the Presidium of the legislature was proposed by members of the same committee. It deals with the prosecutor of the republic legislative initiative to amend the law "On the burial and funeral business". This is the death certificate, which entitles to cash benefits for burial. It is within the country, but there are cases when a citizen died on the territory of Moldova and buried in Pridnestrovie. Medical institutions of the RM issued in such cases a medical certificate, which is stored at the family relatives and can be used any number of times. The prosecutor of the Republic proposed to replace the phrase "certificate" with more advanced concept "document" in order to eliminate non-conformances.
