Andrei Safonov, "The achievements of the educational system must be preserved"

Deputies of the Supreme Council Andrei Safonov, Vadim Kravchuk, Oleg Vasilaty, Alexander Korshunov took part in a round table discussion on "The state of the system of financing of primary and secondary education in Pridnestrovie, possible ways to improve and optimize it". The government of the republic acted as an organizer, and among the participants were Prime Minister Alexander Martynov, his deputies Stanislav Kasap, Alexei Tsurcan, heads of state administrations and chairmen of city councils, heads of city and district educational departments, and the pedagogical community. The Minister of Education of the Kaliningrad Region of the Russian Federation Svetlana Truseneva became an honorary guest of the round table. She shared her experience of implementing reforms in the educational sphere in general and the actions in this region of Russia of the principles of normative per capita financing of the education system.

The participants of the meeting actively discussed how efficiently spend money allocated for education, different opinions and judgments were heard.  

It was supported by the deputy corps Andrei Safonov, who in 1991-1992 headed the Ministry of Education of the PMR.

 Reference. 144 organizations of general education operate in Pridnestrovie. 58% of children study in cities, 42% - in villages. There is often a low level of school in rural areas (in the Rybnitsa and Kamenka regions it is about 21% of the norm). The average occupancy rate schools of Pridnestrovie is 290 people. But there are classes where there are less than twenty or even ten pupils. Among teachers, 40% of retirement and pre-retirement age. In 2017, 66 young specialists came to work in schools.
