The Law "On the Republican Budget for 2025" prepared for adoption in the second reading

The Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance reviewed the law-in-draft "On the Republican Budget for 2025" prepared for adoption at a plenary session at a meeting. The Supreme Council adopted in the first reading the draft of the country's main financial document for next year on the 6th of November. The main characteristics of the consolidated, republican and local budgets were approved. However, on November 13 the Supreme Council adopted a package of legislative initiatives, according to which a single payment of corporate income tax will be introduced in Pridnestrovie from January 1, 2025. It was necessary in this regard to adjust the parameters of the republican and local budgets. They were considered and adopted by the deputies of the Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance in the course of the meeting of the parliamentary profile Committee.

The tables of amendments to the law-in-draft on the republican budget for 2025 prepared for the second reading were discussed at the meeting of the Committee with representatives of the Government.

According to the current legislation, when considering the draft law on the republican budget for the next financial year in the second reading, the following are adopted:

a) revenues of the republican budget according to the codes of articles and sub-articles of revenues of the budget classification of the PMR;

b) expenditures of the republican budget according to the codes of subdivisions of the functional classification of expenditures of the budget classification of the PMR within the total amount of expenditures of the republican budget approved in the first reading;

c) the amount of subsidies to cities and districts;

d) the amount of funds allocated to repay the state debt;

e) the text part of the legislation.

The law-in-draft "On the republican budget for 2025" will be submitted to the plenary session of parliament in the second reading on December 11.
