The Supreme Council opened the 5th session of the 7th convocation on January 18. The first plenary session of the Pridnestrovian Parliament took place after the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic announced the Address to the state authorities and administration, where tasks for 2023 were set, including the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. The Speaker of the Parliament announced today in a commentary to journalists, the plans of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, taking into account the tasks set by the President. They concern the adjustment and development of the current legislation both in the financial sector and in the development of the real sector of the economy, the Head of the legislature noted.

“One of the serious promises is the completion of work on the Budget Code. Let me remind you that for about 2 years we have been working on the adoption of a codified legal act. The work is not easy, we received a large amount of amendments from the Government, which allows this law-in-draft to be finalized and adopted in the second reading,” the Chairman of the PMR Supreme Council emphasized.

Among the tasks set by the President are improving the mechanism for using reclamation systems, resolving the issue of abandoned non-residential buildings and other issues that are being worked on and have already been taken under control by parliamentary committees.

He noted that the decision taken on January 18 to increase the size of pension payments and child benefits was verified and calculated.
