The Supreme Council opened the VIII (autumn) session of the VII convocation on September 4. It will last from September to the end of December 2024. The Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Alexander Korshunov shared plans for legislative work with parliamentary correspondents of the Pridnestrovian and Russian media. The speaker emphasized that the first meeting of the autumn session was attended by the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vadim Krasnoselsky, who presented to the deputies a package of legislative initiatives on equating the "transnistria" term with the concepts of fascism and Nazism. The head of the parliament noted that the deputy corps fully supported this important legislative initiative. The Supreme Council considered today a number of important legislations in the first reading, work on them will continue. The plans also include consideration of two codified acts.
The Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic emphasized that parliamentary committees will continue to work towards payment of utility bills by the population in order to reduce multi-million debts to natural monopoly enterprises.
According to the speaker of the parliament, the deputy corps plans to adopt legislations that will preserve or provide state support measures to enterprises and organizations of Pridnestrovie for 2025, despite the difficult external political situation and internal problems. The laws on the republican budget and on the budget of the Unified State Social Insurance Fund for the next year must be adopted traditionally by the end of the autumn parliamentary session.
