October 1, there were additional elections of deputies of the Supreme and local Soviets of People's Deputies in Pridnestrovie. Today, the Central Election Commission registered deputies elected to the Pridnestrovian parliament. Certificates were given to Yuri Kravchuk, Ruslan Gareyev.
Summing up the election results, the CEC Chairman Elena Gorodetskaya noted that two deputies were elected to the Supreme Council of the PMR of the VI convocation, 19 to local Soviets. Yuri Kravchuk won the electoral district No. 4 "Leninsky". Voter turnout was 25.93%. In the electoral district No. 7 "Pervomaisky" the majority of votes were given to Ruslan Gareyev. 28.18% of the vote was given for him. In general, the turnout in the republic exceeded 28%. The greatest activity was shown by the residents of Kamensky and Grigoriopol districts. The lowest turnout is for Slobodzeya. In the electoral district No. 14 of the Council of People's Deputies of Slobodzeya and Slobodzeya and No. 4 of the Rybnitsa Town and District Council, the elections were declared invalid. Turnout in these districts was less than 25%. According to the head of the Central Election Commission, the number of voters in the additional lists was only 0.2%. This is mainly citizens who have reached the age of 18, and also changed residence permits.
Elena Gorodetskaya presented the newly elected deputies with the certificates of their election to the Supreme Council of the VI convocation and wished them fruitful work in the legislative body of the republic.
Answering the journalists' questions, Ruslan Gareev first of all thanked the voters for the confidence given to him and sincerely added that he was worried about voter turnout on the day of elections. Earlier, Ruslan Gareev was an assistant to the President of the PMR. October 5, by decree of the head of state, he was dismissed from his post in connection with his election to the sixth convocation of the Supreme Council of Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
Credentials of the new deputies will be recognized October 11 at the meeting of the Supreme Council.
