April 12 marks 60 years since the first manned flight into space. The exhibition "The Road to the Stars" was opened on the eve of the date in the Dubossary representation of the Obnovlenie Republican Party. The Soviet newspapers on display tell about the flight of Yuri Gagarin. Then the pages of the publications were full of enthusiastic headlines. Each line of newspapers was filled with joy and pride for the country, the Soviet man, the first to conquer outer space.
Assistance in organizing the exposition was provided by Boris German, Deputy of the Supreme Council for constituency No. 11 "Central". The parliamentarian noted that Gagarin's flight is the greatest achievement of mankind, Soviet science, an example of true heroism, the result of a person's striving for knowledge of the unknown.
The first visitors visited the exhibition. Representatives of the older generation share their memories of the joy with which people greeted the news of Yuri Gagarin's flight. According to visitors, in 1961, former front-line soldiers were especially happy about this event, since thanks to the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the space era started.
Anyone can get acquainted with the presented exposition within a month. The exhibition will run until preparation for the 9th of May.
