The Main Event for the Pedagogical Community


Representatives of the pedagogical community annually on the eve of the school year come to the capital from all over the republic to discuss the tasks for the forthcoming academic year. The theme of the current traditional August conference "The Priorities of the Educational Policy of the PMR: achievements, problems, prospects" brought together about half a thousand teachers.

The first president of Pridnestrovie Igor Smirnov, the state adviser of the president Anna Volkova, the Chairman of the Government Alexander Martynov, the chairman of the Committee of the Supreme Council for Education, Science and Culture Mikhail Burla, the Minister of Education Tatyana Loginova, the archbishop of Tiraspol and Dubossary Savva took part in the work of the pedagogical forum of the republic.

As it was noted, the republican pedagogical conference is a time of summing up, adopting new plans and starting new affairs, finding successful forms of education management and training.

Anna Volkova noted that 67% of all workers in our state are graduates of Pridnestrovian State University. This is of course the merit of teachers.

Mikhail Burla, head of the parliamentary committee for education, science and culture on behalf of the Supreme Council, addressed the conference participants. The deputy thanked teachers for their tremendous work in creating the most important thing in Pridnestrovie - human capital.

The head of the Government also addressed the conference participants. Speaking about the prospects of the industry, Alexander Martynov noted that next year large-scale repair and rehabilitation works of educational institutions will begin due to the use of the funds of the target budgetary fund of capital investments.

During the conference, the results of the republican contest for awarding the monthly Presidential Prize for young professionals in the system of preschool and general education were announced.
