Dear veterans of the Great Patriotic War
and home front workers! Dear residents of Tiraspol!
On behalf of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and me personally let me congratulate you on the 75th anniversary of the liberation of our state’s capital, the city of Tiraspol from the German-Romanian invaders!
April 12 is a special day in the history of Tiraspol. 75 years ago, in 1944, the troops of the 37th Army of the Third Ukrainian Front under the command of General Sharokhin liberated the capital of our republic returned the Fatherland to peaceful, constructive life.
We are grateful to the soldiers of the army, partisans, underground workers — everyone who liberated the city, organized resistance in the rear of the enemy. Many have given their lives for native land, for our freedom. The memory of this feat is sacred for us!
I wish you, dear veterans, dear home front workers and residents of the capital peace and goodness, well-being and health, hopes in the hearts and joys!
Chairman of the Supreme Council
of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic
