The stages and terms of preparation for the admission campaign for admission to higher and secondary specialized educational institutions of the republic were discussed by members of the Committee of the Supreme Council on Education, Science and Culture during the regular meeting.
Planning is especially important for the work of semi-annual, three-month and monthly preparatory courses, which orient entrants for obtaining a particular specialty. This approach was supported by the majority of participants in the discussion, including representatives of the sectoral ministry and the main university of the republic. It was agreed that the next meeting of the responsible committee will be prepared for adoption in the second reading of the amendment, according to which by November 1 the government will have to approve the enrollment figures for admission to higher and secondary specialized educational institutions, and by November 15 the list of entrance examinations will be known.
Deputies of the profile committee in the second reading examined the legislative initiative of Vadim Krasnoselsky to amend certain provisions of the law "On Preschool Education", which he presented as a member of the Supreme Council. The basis for its development was the adoption by the executive bodies of the republican and local authorities in the period from 2012 to 2016 of a number of incorrect management decisions in the field of nutrition of preschool children. Their consequence was an increase in the payment for food in the children's educational institutions of the republic, as well as its collection for those days when the child was absent from the kindergarten. These decisions negatively affected the incomes of citizens who have children of preschool age, since their indexation was not carried out. In addition, they were adopted without public discussion.
Adopted by the Supreme Council in the first reading, the initiative of Vadim Krasnoselsky is aimed at changing the mechanism for setting the payment for meals in pre-school educational institutions. The authorities that determine the cost of food in the pre-school should be limited by the limit established by the law on the republican budget, both the author of the law-in-draft and the parliamentarians are convinced.
In addition, if adopted by the deputy corps in the final reading, the norm will be in effect, according to which the payment for children's food in the state (municipal) organizations of preschool education will be paid by parents only during the days in which the child visited them.
The implementation of the new norms of the law "On pre-school education" will help to ease tensions in this area and ensure social stability.
