Deputies of the Committee on Education, Science and Culture are preparing law-in-draft to amend the law "On wages of public sector employees, the monetary allowance of military personnel and persons equal to them under the terms of payments of monetary allowances, the cash content of civil servants" for adoption in the second reading. The law-in-draft proposes to pay premium for academic degree (title) only on the basis of state-approved documents.
Perceiving the problem indicated by the minister, the deputies spoke of the need not to restrict the right to receive allowances for a degree (title) to those who possess documents of foreign states recognized in the territory of the republic.
The deputies unanimously supported the amendment, which, from January 1 of next year, proposes to make allowances only on the basis of documents recognized in the republic. The final decision on this issue will be taken by the deputy corps.
Among non-core issues, deputies of the Committee on Education, Science and Culture considered law-in-draft on amending the Labor Code. The document is intended to improve the system for setting educational requirements for employee in the PMR, as well as to provide a legislative definition of the concept of a professional standard. According to the law-in-draft, professional standard is a description of the qualifications required for an employee to perform a certain type of professional activity, including the performance of certain labor function.
Members of the Committee were in favor of passing law-in-draft in the first reading.
