Deputies of the Committee on Education, Science and Culture proposed to amend and supplement the law "On Culture". The goal is to improve the norms governing legal relations in the sphere of preservation and development of culture. It is proposed to expand the scope of application of this law by adding art education, amateur art, other activities, as a result of which cultural values ​​are preserved, created, distributed and mastered. It is also about determining the right of citizens to aesthetic education and art education. It is important to create conditions for this, primarily through the support and development of organizations of additional education of an artistic and aesthetic orientation.

The developers also suggest improving the legal standards governing international cooperation in the sphere of culture. In particular, we are talking about maintaining ties with foreign compatriots and their descendants, organizing cultural centers, conducting joint cultural events and other areas.

The law-in-draft was recommended by members of the relevant committee for adoption in the first reading.

Deputies in the course of the meeting, considered the draft republican budget for next year. First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Tatyana Kirova informed parliamentarians about the planned increase in budget revenues. It is planned to renew educational funds at the expense of the republican funds, including for training in Moldavian and Ukrainian languages, for organizations of general and secondary vocational education. Members of the Committee will send the prepared comments and proposals to the draft budget to the relevant committee on economic policy.

The legislative initiative amending the law on the republican budget for this year was considered. It is represented by the Tiraspol City Council. The law-in-draft proposed to give the right funds received in excess of the planned revenues to the revenue of the local budgets of cities (districts), as well as from unplanned sources of income, after covering the deficit, to send to increase the expenditure of local budgets.

The discussion of the proposed law-in-draft will be continued as part of the consideration of the draft republican budget for next year.
