The concepts of "unmanned aerial vehicle", "unmanned aerial system" are introduced into the Pridnestrovian legislation, and norms are introduced to be able to prevent the illegal presence of unmanned aerial vehicles in the airspace. The legislations were received from the President in the mode of legislative necessity were considered by the Committee on Legislation, Protection of the Rights and Freedoms of Citizens.
Changes are made to 10 laws. In particular, additions are being made to the Air Code to clarify the conceptual apparatus. In order to prevent the illegal presence of remotely piloted aircrafts in the airspace, amendments and additions are also made to the laws “On institutions and bodies executing criminal penalties in the form of deprivation of liberty”, “On the state security service of the PMR”, “On the foreign intelligence of the PMR”, “On state protection”, “On the militia”, “On the internal troops”, “On defense”, “On the state border of the PMR”.
It was noted at the meeting of the Committee that remotely piloted aircraft are used in agriculture, as well as just for fun. Therefore, the deputies proposed not to register remotely piloted aircrafts weighing up to 30 kg. Similar rules apply in Russian legislation. The Committee will prepare appropriate amendments to the law-in-draft for the second reading.
The legislations proposed by the President will be considered at the plenary session on May 25 in the first reading.
Earlier, the PMR President signed a decree banning the use of unmanned aerial vehicles without prior approval from the Ministry of State Security of the PMR. This decision was made by the leadership of the republic after a series of terrorist acts took place on the territory of Pridnestrovie.
