The Textbook state program for 2017-2021 is coming to an end. The Supreme Council received a draft of the next five-year program. Today the Minister of Education introduced it to the deputies of the profile committee. Alla Nikolyuk informed parliamentarians that the previous program was funded only by 26.6%.
The new program will provide schools in the republic with textbooks in the Moldavian and Ukrainian languages. For example, schools with the Moldavian language of instruction will publish textbooks for primary forms on mathematics, the world around them, a textbook on the history of Pridnestrovie for 11 form, as well as translation from Russian of textbooks on biology and geometry. It is planned to translate Russian textbooks on biology from 5 to 9 forms, as well as a translation from Russian of a textbook on the history of the PMR for 11 form for Ukrainian schools, taking into consideration the impossibility of using a number of Ukrainian textbooks for ideological reasons. Textbooks from 8 to 11 forms will be published for the study of the Moldovan and Ukrainian languages for Russian schools.
It is also planned to provide kindergartens, special (correctional) educational organizations, and professional institutions with educational and methodological literature. These activities are included in the new program, since during the period of the previous one they were not implemented due to lack of funding.
The implementation of the Textbook program for 2022–2026 will require almost 5 million rubles in total. The Supreme Council Deputies will consider the draft document in the course of the plenary session on the 30th of June.
